Shoes for School 2023

Setting students up for success for 20 years

August 5th, 2023 @ Caswell Park

The Knoxville Area Urban League wants to take big steps for the event’s 21st anniversary. With the help of corporate partners and many local non-profit agencies, we’re on track to make the 2023 event the best yet. But we need you, too!

Get involved in Shoes for School by signing up to sponsor, donating to provide a pair of shoes or sharing this information with someone who could benefit or help. And mark your calendars for Shoes for School on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m.-noon at Caswell Park in Knoxville.

Stay tuned here and on social media for exciting updates as the event approaches.

For $25, you can give a child confidence in the classroom.

Shoes for School is an annual event that provides new shoes and school supplies for area children. These back-to-school basics give students stability and boost their self-esteem so that they can successfully start a new year in the classroom.

We work with other nonprofits to identify and register children ages 5-12 who need the most assistance. The coordination and costs are great, but the satisfaction of seeing students’ smiling faces at the event and knowing that they will be more at ease with their peers is priceless.

Please support Shoes for School by clicking the “Donate” button below or mailing a check and the completed form below to the Knoxville Area Urban League, PO Box 1911, Knoxville, TN 37901.
