The Young Professionals of the Knoxville Area Urban League is part of a network of young people (under age 40) across the country. The mission of the Young Professionals is to engage young professionals in the Urban League movement towards the achievement of social and economic equality. The Young Professionals does this by providing an effective forum through which these young people can serve their communities through programs in mentoring, tutoring, scholarships, economic empowerment and leadership development programs. The network of Young Professionals also works to strengthen its members to achieve balance in their lives even as they strengthen their communities. Accordingly, the organization has an interest in the personal and professional development of its members.
