Our Programs
Project Ready is an innovative and unique college access program that provides a comprehensive, research based approach to preparing young people and families for the challenges and promise of higher education. Project Ready is geared to reach the whole student and is comprised of three key components: Academic Development, Social Development and Cultural and Global Awareness. Students may enter the program as early as middle school and participate throughout their high school career.
The Digital Academy is an afterschool program that introduces at-risk middle school students to high-tech careers. Through this program, students gain knowledge about the technology industry, which is exciting and interesting to this age group. Hands on and interactive activities spark a learning path of kids who are more likely to graduate from high school and go on to college.
National Achievers Society is an Honor Society for African-American youth and other youth of color in grades 10-12 with a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average . Last year’s class included 125 students.
NULITES (National Urban League Incentives to Excel and Succeed) is a program that provides youth with leadership and social development skills and the opportunity to develop long-term goals. Pictured here, students enjoy a Christmas luncheon while learning about proper etiquette in a non-threatening environment.
READ & RISE is a literacy initiative designed to ensure that children have the necessary early literacy and pre-reading skills to prepare them to do well in school and meet the challenges of the 21st century. Pictured here, students eagerly listen as a volunteer reads them a book.
